Motorcycle enthusiasts tend to think fun and freedom prevail. Not always! June, July and August are when most motorcycle accidents happen. Those same months are prime for theft. August is the peak month for motorcycle theft. Many cycle owners don't carry the proper insurance to cover theft. They generally believe a crash or theft will never happen. Over 40,000 are stolen per year. In 2015, 88,000 motorcyclists were injured, down 4.3 percent from 92,000 in 2014. Usually, where there is injury, there is also motorcycle damage.
